Student expectations are being shifted across grade levels leaving many teachers with great lessons that won't fit into their new curriculum. Meanwhile, other teachers are panicked because they have nothing for their new student expectations. In this session, teachers from 4th grade-8th grade will get lesson ideas and effective strategies addressing some of these moving TEKS. Participants will get ideas for teaching (4th) measuring angles; (5th) multiplying decimals; (6th) multiplying/dividing integers, dividing fractions, box-and-whisker plots; (7th) solving inequalities and knowing when to flip that symbol!; and (8th) parallel lines cut by a transversal.
